TIMERIDE GO! is a guided (city) tour that takes a look at the history and transformation of your respective city. At selected historical locations, you put on a pair of mobile VR goggles: In virtual reality, you can see what the place you’re currently in looked like at a certain point in history. A fascinating comparison of the past and present awaits you!
The stationary TIMERIDE takes place exclusively indoors in our TIMERIDE SENSEUM. You will be given a guided tour of various lovingly designed rooms. Your highlight in every Senseum is your virtual reality time travel right into the middle of history.
TIMERIDE REELS are shorter VR experiences of about 10 to 15 min. These can only be booked on site in Dresden and Berlin.
At TIMERIDE you can experience fascinating time travel. We offer immersive and interactive experiences where you can immerse yourself in bygone eras and experience important historical events up close through virtual reality. Each TIMERIDE experienceis specifically tailored to a particular city and its history.
Our time travels in the SENSEUM last between 35-50 minutes.
Our TIMERIDE GO! (city) tours can be experienced in 45 or 90 minutes depending on the location
Our REELS, which are only available on site in Dresden and Berlin, make history tangible in about 10 minutes.
TIMERIDE is located in Cologne, Munich, Andechs, Frankfurt, Dresden and Berlin.
Prices vary depending on location and duration. You can easily view these on the respective location page. . Tip: Book online and early in advance to secure the cheapest tickets!
You can easily purchase your tickets online via our webshop. Here you will also get cheaper prices. Ticket purchases are also possible on site – please note that there may also be waiting times at the counter. No, it is enough to show the ticket on your cell phone.
No, that is not possible. We value a paperless and environmentally friendly purchasing process. Feel free to print out your tickets. On site, however, it is sufficient to show the ticket on your cell phone.
All children aged 6-17, schoolchildren, students and trainees, FSJ (Voluntary Social Year) and FWD (Voluntary Military Service) participants receive reduced admission. Severely disabled persons with a degree of disability (GdB) of 70 or more and their companions (B) are also welcome at reduced prices. Please bring proof, if applicable, to take advantage of this offer.
Select your ticket for your desired date in the ticket store and add it to the shopping cart. In the “Check Cart” section, enter the code that is on your voucher. The amount will be credited to your account automatically. If you still have a remaining amount on your voucher, this will remain on the previous voucher code and can be used again on your next purchase.
You can buy vouchers online. Go to the appropriate experience and either select a predefined voucher value or enter a free voucher value.
No, you can only redeem your voucher for the TIMERIDE where it was issued.
Our vouchers are always valid for 3 years until the end of the year.
Example: A voucher dated 01.05.2022 is valid until 31.12.2025.

Yes, all vouchers from TIMERIDE are value vouchers. This means that your credit can be used for any TIMERIDE product (TIMERIDEand TIMERIDE GO!). Vouchers are therefore not to be confused with tickets booked for a specific date at a specific TIMERIDE.
You can redeem a promo or discount code online only. To do this, select your tickets for a desired date in the ticket store and place them in the shopping cart. In the “Check out cart” section you can enter your code. The amount will be credited to your account automatically. Unfortunately, it is not possible to redeem your promo or discount code at the box office.

Many of our guests have never worn VR glasses before. Don’t worry! We explain well on the spot how you put on the glasses.
Grasp the VR set like binoculars and move it vertically up and down without moving your head until you find the sharpest point for you and attach the goggles to the back of your head via the wheel. If you still have problems, please contact our time travel guides on site.
We can reassure you: In the many years that TIMERIDE has been around, no one has gotten seriously sick. Our VR ride is relatively leisurely so you can relax and take in your surroundings. In addition, the airflow and vibration simulate real locomotion. However, if something should happen, please always raise your hand and make yourself noticed. Our time travel companions will be happy to support you.
As a rule, you can comfortably pull the VR glasses over your normal glasses. Varifocals should be removed for driving or replaced with single vision glasses. If your glasses are too big, we recommend wearing contact lenses.

The concept of TIMERIDE relies heavily on visual and auditory impressions. With appropriate impairments, the overall experience of your time travel will likely be diminished.

As we all know, there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes! All kidding aside, we try to run TIMERIDE GO! even in rainy weather. If our tours cannot take place on the day of the event, we will inform you by phone in time. Therefore, please be sure to include a phone number with your booking. In addition, you should be equipped weatherproof for every tour, because sometimes a rain shower comes as a surprise. This includes sturdy shoes, a jacket and umbrella.
Start: Your tour usually starts directly at the TIMERIDE SENSEUM. The exception is the Cologne Cathedral 360 tour – here your tour guide will be waiting for you at the Kreuzblume opposite the main portal of the cathedral.
End point: This varies from tour to tour.
Children between the ages of 6 and 14 can participate in TIMERIDE GO! if accompanied by an adult. Unfortunately, participation is not possible for children under the age of 6. Even though we are fulfilling a childhood dream, toddlers/babies cannot be taken on the tour.
Dogs are not allowed as supervision cannot be ensured during the VR Experience.
TIMERIDE GO! lasts between 45-90 minutes. (depending on the product)
Children ages 6 to 12 can participate in the VR ride if accompanied by an adult. Unfortunately, participation is not possible for children under the age of 6, as our VR glasses are not suitable for this age group due to their size and weight.
Your visit with us lasts between 35-50 minutes.
Animals are not allowed as supervision cannot be ensured during the VR Experience.
